Fredericksburg Art Guild’s First Friday – November 4 - activities feature the opening of the November Artist of the Month Exhibition and “A Holiday Affair” member exhibit that includes handcrafted, Christmas ornaments along with an oil painting demonstration.

The November Artist of the Month is Dottie King. Dottie’s exhibit will include her oil paintings as well as a new endeavor – gourd art. She has studied oil painting under local artist Nancy Martin. Dottie also serves as the Guild’s web administrator along with service on the Board of Directors. A talented artist and poet, Dottie’s beautiful, oil paintings will be enjoyed by all.



A special Oil Painting demonstration by Guild member Pat Renick is scheduled 1 pm to 3 pm. Pat has studied with many outstanding instructor s including Corrine Fowler, William H. Earle, Dick Turner, Ann Templeton, Leslie Rich, Warren Cuellar and Guido Frick. She will be painting the landscape using opaque “short” paint into transparent “long paint” to produce light into her work. Pat works in Oils, watercolors and acrylics



The Fredericksburg Art Guild represents 30 Hill Country Artists and exhibits fine art, jewelry, sculpture, photography, stained glass and more.

The Guild’s hours are 10 am to 4p.m. - open until 8 p.m. on the First Friday of every month. The Guild is closed on Tuesdays. The Fredericksburg Art Guild is located behind the Nimitz Museum at 308 East Austin Street. Ample, free parking is available behind the Convention and Visitors’ Center. The Fredericksburg Art Guild is a nonprofit organization that also receives financial support from the City of Fredericksburg Hotel/Motel Tax Fund and annual grant funding from Pedernales Creative Arts Alliance/OktoberFest.
