Fredericksburg Art Guild's First Friday~features the Annual All Members Show~"Our Gardens, Real and Imagined". Guild members are local Hill Country artists and their work includes paintings, sculpture, jewelry and ceramics. The exhibit is open through August 28.
Bert Garcia will demonstrate her vivid acrylic painting technique 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Bert has studied with Joyce Combs for many years and always gives a popular painting demo.
Nancy Hardison is featured as the July Artist of the Month. Nancy has a degree in All Level Art Education from the University of Texas at Pan Am. She has taught art in the Texas school system for thirty years. In addition to teaching private art lessons and Community Education Classes, Nancy assisted with the research and planning for the book "150 Years of Art in Fredericksburg". Nancy's Artist of the Month Exhibit will include a retrospective of her work including oil painting, acrylic and clay pieces.
The Fredericksburg Art Guild represents 30 Hill Country Artists and exihibits fine art, jewelry, sculpture, photography, stained glass and more.
The Guild's hours are 10 am to 4 pm ~ open until 8 pm on the First Friday of each month. The Guild is closed on Tuesdays. The Fredericksburg Art Guild is located behind the Nimitz Museum at 308 E.
